Derek Byrne - Multi-Talented Pianist / Entertainer

Derek was born in Dublin, Ireland. He began his musical career at age seven studying classical piano at Dublin's Royal Irish Academy. After graduating he went on to pursue a musical career that would encompass a wide range of experiences.

While playing with noted Irish groups and musicians he also spent time teaching piano. His career has seen him travel to many parts of the world.

In 1986 he emigrated from Ireland to Canada with his wife and family and they became Canadian Citizens in 1994.

Derek is actively involved in a vaiety of musical projects. Playing both piano, keyboards and accordion his services are in constant demand both as live stage musician, accompanist and studio artist.
